According to many sources the night of the Grammy's Chris Brown allegedly assaulted Rhianna and according to those same sources she looked horrific, had a split lip, bite marks, and a Bloody nose. For two days now they have circulated a horrible picture of the Beautiful Rhianna showing the extent of this assault.
As horrible as this is,it only goes to show that Domestic violence can happen even with people we think have it all. Domestic abuse knows no boundaries, and/or limits. Statistics say that 3 women die everyday, victims of Domestic Violence, and 15 million witness domestic abuse in their own homes. according to these same experts if you have been exposed to domestic violence in your own home you are 4 times more likely to be abused.
Women and young girls in relationships need to remember that it all begins with verbal abuse. Shame of having picked the wrong guy sometimes keeps a woman quiet because she doesn't want anyone to think that she's made a mistake in her choice of partner. Fear also keeps a lot of women paralyzed.

Osu Shihan Warishi and respected Warrior Relative! I am deeply grateful for the concerns and powerful remarks you have made on this heartbreaking problem that we mothers, daughters, sisters and grandmothers are facing even during this times of so called female empowerment and liberation. It is mind boggling that most people today share a common belief that woman seek out such problems, that it is their fault due to the way they present themselves, physically appearing vulnerable, soft spoken meek woman, far too sexy vixen like/know it all females that are too cocky for their own good, or perhaps poor dumb women who can only be supported by the man and are willing to take their beatings and emotional/mental abuse due to their socio-economic status. One belief that I hear far too many times which is offensive beyond belief is...when people say woman who get beaten like it and that's why they stay, they can only love a man that beats them that if they are treated right they will leave their nice parkner for one who will treat her like crap, that she will love and stand by him till she dies...poetically in his hands as a undignified female dog (for lack of a better word)
Most people are unaware that many highly productive, Power House Woman who are intelligent, educated, community role models who seem unlikely to be abused "Are" Being Abused and "Do" find it most difficult to escape their cinical, manipulative and ill intended parkner. The over powering tactics inflicted upon them by being micro managed, conditioned as a victim only causing them to stay and die a horrible death by someone they loved and trusted.
Only Creator knows what actually happens behind closed doors. Those carefully hidden doors who may introduce you into the victim's prison walls and torture chamber, only known to those who Feel compelled to live there.
The mental and emotional conditioning of the individual being abused as well as the abuser requires urgent attention.
Counseling, Intensive therapeutic aid with Skills for Life Training, Stress management, Self healing approaches that will aid the victimized individual as well as the abuser in identifying their Core Value, as Creator created us, instead of the self devalued belief of being broken, defragmented, a loser and a down and out doom to fail victim of bad luck, family curse or any other deeply rooted belief that keeps us repeating the same pattern of attracting people who would abuse us, take from us and rob us of our essence sort of speak.
Yes, help is available and proven effective.
Let us advocate in training work places in helping those who suffer by not taking their job away and instead refer for professional help and maintain confidence.
Let us highly consider that Drugs and Alcohol or potential Gambling, Unemployment and Serious Mental
and Health problems that are not properly handled could only lessen their chances of survival.
Presented issues only makes it harder for the victimized person to walk out of the relationship alive. They need to secure recovery from the overall battle scars of mental, physical, emotional and spiritual attacks.
We can Choose To Wake Up! We can vow and make a pact Not To Keep Our Mouth Shut while the abusers spread their misery and self hate. They beat their prey while seducing them, convincing them is their fault.
United we make a huge difference.
It happens to Men also, and more frequent than we could imagine! Please remember that no one is discriminated when it comes to domestic violence. A true story of One male client, I will call him John Doe, a brilliant professor who suffered from Traumatic Stress symptoms after being beaten, emotionally, verbally abused by his spouse and then ridiculed by the Police staff as he displayed his badly beaten face and body.
He was mocked by the police officers as he told the police how his wife nearly killed him, he could barely testify for he broke down in tears, they laughed uncontrolibly at him and made a joke about the whole thing.
This particular male had a physical disability and could not use his right hand, it was deformed and eventhough he was overpowered, still he was unwilling to defend himself by other means must people would likely consider(in my opinion).
He acted in a truly compassionate way, eventhough, he had physical challenges and would not press charges against her.
Please, let us remember not to blame all man for this violent acts, for woman are quite strong, physically powerful and well capable of abusing to a lesser or greater degree in some cases.
I rather we commit our focus and I plead, pray, that we resolve to end the acts, criminal behaviors against all those who live and thrive here on our beautiful Mother earth!
On an intersing note
I will share what I have seen. Woman can and will dangerously
defend themselves against even a wild beast to defend their young or what holds special value to them.
During clinical work/
Crisis intervention I have seen and experienced some wild display of female physical power and intelligent warrior tactics in full action packed mode !
They are NOT trained in the martial arts!
Yet, their strenght and power comes from within!
And Yes, on a personal note and, as a martial arts instructor, I much rather engage in battle with a male than a female that may skin me alive!
Woman are not weak,
Man are not insensitive or weak, nor always ready to beat the woman into submission.
Man are Not cowards when they show emotion and pain from being abused!
Enough insanity, let us get on with being a loving and caretaking people!
